Project 7® Helps Feed the Hungry & Save the Earth Through National Launch Of Gum and Mints

Packaged Goods Brand is Giving Back to Support Areas of Need through Consumer Purchases

COSTA MESA, Calif. (September 13, 2011)—Project 7®, a company that makes everyday products for good, today announced the launch of its Save the Earth Fresh Mint Gum and Feed the Hungry Peppermint Mints in nearly 1,500 Walmart® Supercenters nationwide.  Project 7 is committed to ‘changing the score’ by educating people that by simply purchasing everyday products they are participating in positive and meaningful change.

The nationwide launch will enable Project 7 to dramatically increase its support of two of its key areas of need.  For every tray of Feed the Hungry Peppermint Mints purchased, seven meals are delivered in U.S. communities to a person or family in need.  Further, each tube of Save the Earth Fresh Mint Gum sold plants one fruit tree back into the earth.

“By buying everyday products like Project 7 gum and mints, people know the exact and instant impact they are making,” said Tyler Merrick, founder and CEO of Project 7.  “Through our new national distribution channels alone, we anticipate providing more than one million meals and one million fruit trees just from the sales of Project 7 gum and mints.”

Beginning this month, the company’s Feed the Hungry Peppermint Mints (MSRP $1.28 per 50-ct. tube) and Save the Earth Fresh Mint Gum (MSRP $2.88 per 55-ct. tube) will be available in nearly 1,500 Walmart Supercenters across the U.S., in addition to already more than 3,000 retail stores nationwide and Project 7’s online store.

In conjunction with this national launch, Project 7 is encouraging people to ‘Join the MoveMINT’ and spread the word about making positive change through purchasing these products, volunteering within their communities and helping educate their friends and family on ways to better the lives of others through giving back.
