Caribou Coffee and Project 7… a match made to “Change the Score”

Drum roll please! Caribou Coffee now carries Project 7 water, gum AND mints! And we don't mean at a store or two... but rather in all of their stores (that means there are more than 500 new locations where you can purchase Project 7 products). More than a year in the making, Project 7 and Caribou have finally teamed up to help "Change the Score." Due to Project 7's mission, we were a great match for Caribou's commitment to community involvement, social responsibility and sustainability. It is fantastic that such a well-respected company was already doing something to make a difference in their communities.Caribou, we salute you! We are so pleased to be able to help support a coffee company who feels a strong connection and commitment to giving back locally and nationally. Satisfy that caffeine craving and do something good for your community... oh and buy a Project 7 product too while you at it. Thank you to all of you for your involvement in "Changing the Score." Let's keep it up. Check out Caribou and find the location nearest you!

Dell, Yes, the Dell, Will Be Carrying Project 7

We just got the exciting news that Dell's corporate campus cafe will start to carry Project 7! It is so exciting for us that such a large, well-respected corporation not only understands the need to "Change the Score," but is willing to participate as well. A huge thank you to Dell for having the vision.  We can't wait to get this partnership started.

Project 7 Volunteers at Mosaic House, a Home for Victims of Human Trafficking

Today, we spent the morning volunteering at Mosaic House, a community home for victims of human trafficking operated by Mosaic Family Services. Many of you may not know what human trafficking is. Basically, the trafficking of people is modern-day slavery, involving victims who are forced, defrauded or coerced into labor or sexual exploitation. Annually, about 600,000 to 800,000 people -- mostly women and children -- are trafficked across national borders which does not count millions trafficked within their own countries. Examples of recent cases of human trafficking in the U.S. include adolescent Mexican girls trafficked to the U.S. for forced prostitution, Indian men trafficked for forced labor, and African women and children trafficked for domestic servitude, among others. People are snared into trafficking by many means. In some cases, physical force is used. In other cases, false promises are made regarding job opportunities or marriages in foreign countries to entrap victims. Today we got to help out some of these people, 18 women and 16 children to be exact. The childrens' shiny, now happy faces, greeted us at the gate, yes the facility is gated as some of these people are in hiding. The staff was warm and friendly and seemed genuinely glad to see us. Armed with paint brushes, brooms, new screen doors, blinds and a whole lot of gusto, we started our day tackling some of the much needed TLC work on this community home. We spent three grueling hours in the 105 degree Texas heat doing everything and anything that these people needed. Mosaic has provided them with a loving, safe home - we just wanted to provide them with some additional help and the knowledge that perfect strangers care about them. I will say, Project 7 peeps don't smell.. or look so good after three hours of 105 degree heat... But it was all worth it for the genuine "thank yous" and smiles that we got at the end. Stay tuned for our "P7 goes to Mosaic" Video. And remember, it doesn't take much to help "change the score." Just a little time and energy. Do something nice for someone else today. If for no other reason than we said so!

P7 Looking for Concert Venue in Minneapolis / St. Paul

At Project 7, we are in the mood to rock... but we don't have a place to do it. We are asking for our communities help. The perfect place would be in the Minneapolis/St. Paul area. It would need to hold somewhere between 500 - 2000 people. And be insanely hip and cool. Post a comment and let us know your faves! More news on this "secret" event coming soon.

Project 7 on Good Morning America

[vimeo]http://www.vimeo.com/5426103[/vimeo] We've made it to the big leagues. Sara Moulton, the "Good Morning America" food editor, picked our product out of a sea of 150,000 possibilities as part of her best of the Fancy Food Show on July 2, 2009! We definitely felt like proud parents.
