Drum roll please!
Caribou Coffee now carries Project 7 water, gum
AND mints! And we don't mean at a store or two... but rather in all of their stores (that means there are more than 500 new locations where you can purchase Project 7 products).
More than a year in the making, Project 7 and Caribou have finally teamed up to help "Change the Score." Due to Project 7's mission, we were a great match for Caribou's commitment to community involvement, social responsibility and sustainability. It is fantastic that such a well-respected company was already doing something to make a difference in their communities.Caribou, we salute you!
We are so pleased to be able to help support a coffee company who feels a strong connection and commitment to giving back locally and nationally. Satisfy that caffeine craving and do something good for your community... oh and buy a Project 7 product too while you at it. Thank you to all of you for your involvement in "Changing the Score." Let's keep it up.

I often visit Caribou Coffee in the Twin Cities metro and surrounding area as I travel for work. I noticed the Project 7 water on display today. I suggested to the retailer that these bottles be sold in re-usable containers so they demonstrate the message of social responsibility and sustainability. The design is so attractive, but it is not safe to re-use these bottles. I would love to see these re-designed for on-going use and display. This would allow for a greater profit per sale and longer-lasting promotion (not being tossed in the garbage or recycling bin). Just a thought…thanks for the opportunity to comment!

I am a the store manager of the Crystal Lake Caribou Coffee and I am really happy to see us teaming up with Project 7. I love the packaging and the Gum and mints are really good too! I am really excited to see who ends up getting the seven donations and to have the chance to vote on my favorites! I believe this to be the begining of a beautiful friendship. :~)
This is so exciting to see all of the products find a great home! Great products, great causes and helping all at the same time, so cool… Can’t wait to personally see it in Caribou locations… Peace.
I’m a supervisor at a caribou in Southeastern Wisconsin (124th & Capitol), and I was really excited when I heard we were teaming up with you guys. I really like the causes, the fact there is more than one,and I love the way project 7 are markets their items. The unique, modern packaging catches peoples eyes, and gives us a chance to explain your products, and the good they do. Project 7 Rox =)
Brian, great to hear from you and super glad to be partnered w/ your company… we believe the same
Supervisor @124 & Capital – so glad to hear your support and thanks for telling customers about it…
Leanne – great comments, always working on sustainability and new bottle technology to make it better… if you’re gonna buy a bottled water it might as well help someone. our message is to recycle it and we’ll turn it into something… like our clothing. our t-shirts have 5 plastic bottles in all of them… and the other 1/2 is organic cotton!
I saw the water bottles the other day at Caribou. We have a restaurant and I thought it would be great to promote this project through our bottled water sales. How can I get information on purchasing to help the cause?
Kelly – someone will be in touch with you shortly. Thanks for the interest and hopefully we will be able to do something together shortly.
I am a new store manager to Caribou Coffee Company but have been working for the company for over 9 years. I am so excited and thankful to be part of Project 7! Thank you for creating such a wonderful product which gives back to the community!
Jessica – It is because of people and companies like you and Caribou that we will “Change the Score.” We are so excited about the Caribou partnership. Thank you!
I am very pleased to see your products at Caribou as I am a return customer and usually buy a bottled water with my coffee, however, I have yet to see a place to recycle the plastic without taking it home with me and recycling it there. Keep up the good work!
Dan – thanks for the support. And good on you for making the effort to recycling when it isn’t always easy. We will see what we can do! Thanks again.
I am sitting a Caribou with a Project 7 bottle of water and noticed that it says “Bio Bottle” on the package. This is a petroleum based plastic bottle with a chemical additive that CLAIMS it will break down in the environment. That is simply not true – no commercial composter will accept this bottle and from what I read even the PET recycling industry does not want these bottles. So what they end up in a landfill? That does not sound very environmental. Why doesn’t Caribiou work with another Mpls based company, Cargill/NatureWorks to get truly envirnomentally friendly bottles made from plant based plastic?
Mark – we appreciate all comments on our blog and understand your concerns. We think NatureWorks is great and actually reached out to work with them. Unfortunately even they say their packaging is not best for bottled water due to the fact that it leeches water over time and the bottle warps. And, while we love the idea of PLA bottles they take even more water to grow the corn that they are made from. The bio bottle that we use is a product made by ENSO bottles. Here are a few details for you, should you have additional questions we are happy to assist. Product biodegrades in both landfills and compost. The remnants are biomass, Co2 and Biogas. Thank you again for sharing your comment and for being passionate about the environment.
